Kadokawa has shared exciting news for anime fans. On Friday, July 26, 2024, they announced that A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 will return. The popular romantic comedy series is set to air in 2025, giving fans something big to look forward to.

To tell everyone about the new season, Kadokawa made a special 40-second video. The video shows pictures from the manga books drawn by Miki Yoshikawa. While we don’t see any new cartoon scenes yet, the video hints at what stories we might see next year.
Kadokawa also shared some new pictures. They showed one photo from the video with all the main characters. The manga artist, Miki Yoshikawa, drew another exceptional picture showing Nagi Umino holding a sign with Japanese writing.

Plot Overview
The story is about Nagi Umino, who is 16 years old and goes to Megurogawa Academy. One day, he finds out that when he was a baby, the hospital put him in the wrong family! On his way to meet his real mom and dad, he meets a girl named Erika Amano. She asks Nagi to pretend to be her boyfriend because she doesn’t want to marry someone her parents picked for her.
But here’s the funny part – Nagi soon learns that his parents want him to marry Erika, who grew up with his real mom and dad! This mix-up starts a hilarious story about family and love.
The first part of the show started in April 2022. Many people worked hard to make it good. Hiroaki Akagi was the main boss, and Yoshiyuki Shirahata helped make the show at Shinei Animation and Synergy SP. Yasuhiro Nakanishi wrote the stories, and Aya Takano drew how everyone should look.
The manga books that told this story began in January 2020. Now, there are 23 books in Japan, and 18 of them are in English for fans to read.
